Small Group Mentoring - Frequently Asked Questions

+ I'd love to join small group mentoring but the time doesn't work for me, what should I do?

Great! Send me an email and I'll add you to a waitlist to hear about future opportunities.

+ Who are the small groups for?

Small group mentoring is for people who are open and curious about exploring their relationship with food and are confused by the negative messages the world has about our bodies. Maybe you've been a chronic dieter, maybe you are often unhappy with your body, maybe you identify with the concepts of food addiction or emotional eating or maybe you know that something about your relationship with food and body feels like a challenge. If you are done with diets, ready to move past the scale and would like assistance, this would be a good place to explore. Small groups are also for anyone who wants to expand their perception of what it means to have a body and take care of it.

+ Would this be for me if I have an eating disorder?

This is not an appropriate group for anyone with an active clinically diagnosed eating disorder. If you aren't sure, feel free to email me and we can chat.

+ I've never been diagnosed with an eating disorder but I know my relationship with food is stressful, would small group mentoring be for me?

Definitely! Small group mentoring will support you in rebuilding your relationship with food and body where you learn how to start to trust your choices and heal your anxiety when it comes to food and body. This would be a great addition to your healing and many people thrive with the community support.

+ I'm in a bigger body and I want to lose weight for my health, would small group mentoring be right for me?

Definitely! As part of our sharing in the group, we will explore the link between health and weight. In addition, we know that intentional weight loss using restrictive methods usually backfires and leads to decreased health, so instead mentoring will support you in finding behaviors that feel good in your body and supports your health from a weight neutral perspective. If you are open to the idea that there are other ways to care for our bodies than solely through a weight loss focus, but aren't sure what that looks like, then small group mentoring is for you.

+ But I really want to learn more about Keto, detoxing and weight loss, is small group mentoring for me?

Small group mentoring explores WHY you want to learn more about keto, detoxing and weight loss and what are some alternative ways to feel the way you want to feel without causing the harm that these practices, and many like them, are known to cause. If your heart is still set on Keto, then this is probably not the best place for you.

+ Is this group LGBTQIA friendly?

Absolutely! So you know where I am coming from - I am a cisgender heterosexual person who identifies as she/her/hers. I welcome bodies of all sizes, colors, shapes and genders. Please feel free to email me if you have any concerns or questions.

+ I have other questions that you have not answered here, what should I do?

Please send me an email at elizabeth@elizabethhallcoaching.com and I will be happy to answer your question!
